## What changed

Six tracked RunPod Secure Cloud on-demand public catalog quotes rose between our October 8 checks: A100 PCIe 80GB and A100 SXM 80GB each $1.59 to $1.79 (+12.6%); H100 SXM 80GB $3.49 to $3.99 (+14.3%); H200 SXM 141GB $4.59 to $5.29 (+15.3%); B200 180GB $6.79 to $7.99 (+17.7%); B300 288GB $7.89 to $8.99 (+13.9%). Units: USD/GPU-hour.

The exact activation time is unknown. The before capture was October 8, 2026 at 14:21:34.347 UTC; the after capture was at 19:59:16.630 UTC. A later October 12, 15:35:34.166 UTC capture retained all six higher rates. This is a dated observation, not a promise that a future booking will have the same price.

## Why this provider matters

RunPod reported annual recurring revenue above $120 million on January 20, 2026. ARR is a revenue run rate, not profit or audited full-year revenue. The company announced a $100 million growth investment led by Summit Partners on June 24, 2026 and reported more than one million developers. The developer count does not mean one million paying customers. These dated company disclosures establish context, not a current audited financial snapshot.

That scale makes the changes relevant to buyers of GPU infrastructure. It does not turn a single provider's list-price changes into evidence of market-wide transaction prices, higher margins, greater utilization or a shortage. Our immediate conclusion is to refresh the budget for these configurations and compare actual executable quotes and useful-work cost. The reason for the price changes is not established by the catalog.

## Method and limitations

- Source: https://api.runpod.io/graphql, field `data.gpuTypes[].securePrice`.
- We match the same platform identifier and GPU-memory value across all three captures. `snapshot.json` includes those identifiers, memory values, rates, exact timestamps, check IDs and SHA-256 hashes of the original uncompressed provider responses.
- Percent change = `(after / before - 1) * 100`. Figures in prose and chart round to one decimal; CSV retains ten decimal places.
- Six is the tracked change set, not the full GPU catalog or a fleet census. The API observations do not specify region, host CPU or host RAM. No capacity or transaction claim is made.
- Community Cloud is a separate tier. Its captured fields for these same six rows were identical across the two October 8 captures. This is not a claim that all Community Cloud or market prices were unchanged.
- The B200 illustration holds GPU-hours and the published rate basis constant: 10,000 x $6.79 = $67,900; 10,000 x $7.99 = $79,900; difference $12,000. It is not a measured customer bill or complete deployment budget.
- Before switching, compare GPU variant and memory, rental tier, region, CPU/RAM, storage, availability, throughput, latency, quality, retries, productive utilization and cost per completed task.
- Executable matched quotes or actual bills below the list weaken the budget read-through. Sustained realized pricing across providers with productive use strengthens a broader pricing-power inference. No earnings or stock-target revision follows from this observation alone.
- No paid GPU/model benchmark or new hardware test was conducted for this note.

## Dated primary sources

1. Public GPU catalog, captured October 8 and October 12, 2026: https://api.runpod.io/graphql
2. RunPod company announcement, January 20, 2026: https://www.runpod.io/press/runpod-ai-cloud-surpasses-120m-in-arr
3. RunPod company-issued funding announcement, June 24, 2026: https://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/runpod-raises-100m-led-by-summit-partners-to-accelerate-the-ai-developer-cloud-302808689.html

5. RunPod public pricing page, checked October 12, 2026: https://www.runpod.io/pricing

The public pricing page corroborates the new rates. Its September 27 page-update label is not used as the effective date of these API changes. RunPod documents separate on-demand and prepaid plans and enterprise pricing, and directs buyers to deployment prices.
